Each week I keep an eye out for the latest edtech resources through blogs, social media, podcasts, videos, user groups, and more. I then try to reshare these resources in many ways.
One way I share these is here on the blog in these "EdTech Links of the Week" posts. See below to explore the latest batch of resources, and be sure to share with others who may benefit.
If you want to make sure you don't miss new resources, you can:

💎 New EduGems
Each week I try to add new Gems to my EduGems website. Since last newsletter, the following Gems have been added to the site:
- 📋 Project Breakdown - Help students manage their workload by breaking complex projects into manageable micro-steps with a clear timeline
- 🎚️ Alternate Assessment - Create high-quality alternate versions of your existing quizzes or tests for retakes, make-ups, or differentiation (lower level, higher level, accommodations)
- 🎯 IEP/504 SMART Goal - Generate high-quality IEP/504 SMART goals based on a student's data, needs, strengths, grade level, and special education category
- 🪜 Vocabulary Tiers - Categorize words from a text into Tier 1 (Basic), Tier 2 (High-Utility Academic), and Tier 3 (Domain-Specific) to support student comprehension
- 📖 Story Writer - Create high-quality, engaging stories tailored to your specific classroom needs and content
Click on any of the links above to access, use, and copy the Gems.
I recently received an email asking for help with exporting math content from Google Gemini to Google Docs. I was excited to find a free and easy add-on that properly displays the math symbols and expressions when exported to Docs.
I recorded a short 10-minute video where I show you how to do this. You can access the video and the resources at the link above.
🤣 Learn & Laugh with Mr. Gaff
I recently got an email from Dave Gaffny, a Technology Integration Specialist in Massachusetts, and he wanted to share his YouTube channel. Dave makes educational videos for grades 2 through 8 that are designed to be informational but also genuinely fun for kids. At the moment he has over 30 videos which focus mainly on the subjects of science and history.
I checked out several of Dave's videos and absolutely loved them! He has a great sense of humor (he does admit that his videos have a bit more "spice" than a typical education video) but the videos were still very informative.
If you work with students in grades 2 to 8, be sure to check out his channel to see what videos you can incorporate in your instruction.
🧠 Brain Breaks
Everyone can benefit from a brain break now and then, especially our students. Tony Vincent recently shared his Padlet with over 100 "Digital Snacks". These are free web apps that don’t require a login and work well for short student breaks.
The brain breaks are organized into categories including Physical, Cognitive, Relaxing, Social, Humor, Sensory, Creative, and more.
