Although Google Drawings does not have a built-in feature to insert videos, there is a creative work-around that can actually make this work! In short, you can copy and paste playable videos from Google Slides into Google Drawings.
Here's how:
- First, create a Google Slideshow.
- Insert your video onto a slide in the slideshow.
- If you just want to play a portion of the video, set the start and stop time by right-clicking on the video and choosing "Video options".
- Now create (or open) the Google Drawing you want to add the video to.
- Copy the video from the Google Slideshow and paste it into your Google Drawing.
- The video will play as normal in your Google Drawing by simply double-clicking on it.
This can be a great way to add videos to a Google Drawing template for directions or instructional content.
