Each week I keep an eye out for the latest edtech resources through blogs, social media, podcasts, videos, user groups, and more. I then try to reshare these resources in many ways.
One way I share these is here on the blog in these "EdTech Links of the Week" posts. See below to explore the latest batch of resources, and be sure to share with others who may benefit.
If you want to make sure you don't miss new resources, you can:

This week I have 3 resources from around the Internet and 4 resources from my blog.
🦸 Super Tutor: AI to Support all Learners
I recently recorded a 47-minute training video for an updated version of my session "Super Tutor: AI to Support all Learners". In this session we explore ways AI can assist educators as they are helping students, as well as ways for students to use AI directly to get individualized support. Tools explored include MagicSchool AI, Khanmigo, Brisk Teaching, Drift, SchoolAI, AI chatbots, and many more.
Click the link above for the recorded video and session resources. And be sure to share your suggestions for AI tools and uses.

I recently had the pleasure to be a guest on the "ShiftED Podcast" from LEARN. I had a wonderful time chatting with Chris Colley about my journey in education and technology, how to help educators adopt technology, balancing technology and life, preparing students for their futures, the ABC's of AI, creative uses of AI, how to find the best EdTech resources, and more. 🦃 Build a "What I Am Thankful For" Turkey
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, now is a great time for all of us to pause and think about what we are thankful for. To help out with this, a few years ago I created a Google Slides activity for your students. With this template your students will build a turkey where each of the feathers will display things that the student is thankful for.
🅰️ Google Fonts Filters
- I have often shared about many of my favorite Google Fonts. As of this writing, Google offers over 1,700 typefaces that can be used in Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms, Sites, and more.
- As awesome as that is, with so many to choose from it can be a challenge to find the perfect font.
- Thankfully Google recently updated the filter options at https://fonts.google.com/
- Now you can narrow down the font choice with options in categories such as Feeling, Appearance, Calligraphy, Serif, Sans Serif, Seasonal, and more.
- These new filters make it easier than ever to find the perfect font for your latest creation.
📈 Google Trends Visualizer
- Google Trends is a great site to put your finger on the pulse of public interest in topics.
- The site provides several ways to see what is currently trending in popularity online.
- One of these options is the Hot Trends Visualizer.
- The Hot Trends Visualizer shows you which topics are being searched more than any others.
- You can click in the top left to pick how many topics you want to show at one time on the grid.
- You can pick in the bottom left to see which countries of the world to get data for.
- You can click on any item to open a full Google search for that topic.
- This site can be a great way to learn about current events locally or around the world.
⚔️ ClassMana Monster Battle
- Since ClassCraft went away, teachers have been looking for a replacement for this role-playing gamification platform for education.
- It looks like there are several possible products being developed, one of which is ClassMana.
- This new platform is in its early stages, but they have a roadmap planned with loads of updates including classroom management, student avatars, experience and mana points, school store, and more.
- At the moment they have released the first feature which is the "Monster Battle".
- In short you ask your class questions, and if the students get it right then the monster takes damage, but if they get it wrong they lose health. You choose how many questions they get to try to defeat the monster.
- The game is free but you do need to sign up for an account (Note: My registration email wound up in my spam folder, so you may need to look there when you sign up.)
