My 2026 CFISD Digital Learning Conference Sessions

I am excited and honored to once again present at the 2026 CFISD Digital Learning Conference this year.

This year is the 16th annual CFISD Digital Learning Conference and is:
  • Entirely virtual with over 50 EdTech sessions
  • Held on July 21st and 22nd
  • Open to all educators
  • FREE!

There is no need to register for the conference. Just click the links above on the dates of the conference to watch any of the live streaming sessions for free.

๐Ÿ–️ Active Learning with Google Tools and EduProtocols
  • Time: 8:00am - 8:50am CT (9:00am - 9:50am ET)
  • Description: EduProtocols are instructional templates that are designed to engage students in learning through critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity, in any subject or grade level. In this session you will see how engaging these can be for students by trying out several hands-on activities with Google tools such as Sketch and Tell, Iron Chef, Tier List, Thin Slides, and more.

๐ŸŽจ Remixing the Arts: AI in Art and Music Education
  • Time: 9:00am - 9:50am CT (10:00pm - 10:50pm ET)
  • Description: AI can help support teaching, learning, exploring, and creating in the arts. With AI enhanced tools students can learn about and experiment with creating and modifying art and music. AI tools can also bring the arts to life with AI interviews with famous artists, musicians, and their works. Finally AI can support arts educators with creating resources and content for class, and providing feedback on student creations.

 The "Gem in AI" - Google Gemini for Schools
  • Time: 10:00am - 10:50am CT (11:00pm - 11:50pm ET)
  • Description: Discover Google’s powerful, free generative AI tool and how it can assist educators and students. In this session we will do a hands-on deep dive in Gemini including prompting, educational uses, fact checking, deep research, guided learning, the canvas tool (for slideshows, coding, and more), custom Gems, Gemini apps, image and audio generation, Gemini tools (in Classroom, NotebookLM, and other Google tools), data privacy features, and more.

๐Ÿ’Ž Your AI Treasure Chest: Creating & Sharing Gemini Gems
  • Time: 11:00am - 11:50am CT (12:00pm - 12:50pm ET)
  • Description: Gems are reusable, custom prompts that save your best AI workflows for instant access, and they are a game-changer for educators! In this deep-dive session you will learn how to create your own Gems, with tips for effective prompting and uploading reference files. We'll also cover how to share your Gems with colleagues and how schools can build a shared, high-quality Gem repository for staff and students. To see their full potential, we will tour my "EduGems" website and demonstrate powerful, ready-to-use prompts for lesson hooks, rubric generation, DOK analysis, and even creating AI-powered classroom games.
