Each week I keep an eye out for the latest edtech resources through blogs, social media, podcasts, videos, user groups, and more. I then try to reshare these resources in many ways.
One way I share these is here on the blog in these "EdTech Links of the Week" posts. See below to explore the latest batch of resources, and be sure to share with others who may benefit.
If you want to make sure you don't miss new resources, you can:

🏆 The Best of EdTech Right Now
- Recently Kyle Niemis from Quizizz asked 180+ tech coaches and leaders, "What's the one best thing in Ed-Tech right now?"
- He then pulled all of their responses together and organized them in a Google Sheet.
- The result is an awesome list of tech resources, AI tools, Chrome extensions, podcasts, tips, templates, and more.
- Be sure to check out both tabs in the Google Sheet to see responses from May and January.
- Did you discover something new? What would you add as the best thing in EdTech (other than this newsletter of course!)
- I have shared about "Be Internet Awesome" many times in the past, but this is a great new update.
- "Be Internet Awesome" is a free digital literacy and citizenship curriculum for students, mostly aimed at ages 7 through 12.
- Well it turns out that students of that age also love the Roblox online gaming platform. So Google has partnered with Roblox to create "Be Internet Awesome World".
- This free playable game lets kids have fun while learning about digital literacy, citizenship, and safety.

🔎 Unzoomed
- Unzoomed is a neat twist on the Geoguesser style games.
- In this game you are shown a close-up overhead view of a city from around the world and need to try to guess the city.
- If you guess wrong, then you are told how many kilometers away you are from the correct city, and the map zooms back a bit to reveal more of the surrounding area.
- You have six chances to guess the city with each guess zooming you out further to help you.
- There is a new city every day, so students can come back to play (and learn) each day.
📅 Google Docs Calendar Templates for the 2025-2026 School Year
Several years ago I created some Google Docs templates for a colleague who was looking for a simple one-page document to show important calendar dates for an entire school year. The templates were a big hit and many people found them to be helpful.
Although it still feels like the school year has just gotten started, I have already received emails from folks asking if I have made a version for next year. So I have updated the templates for 2025-2026 and those are now available at the link above.
🎧 Podcast Spotlight: Teaching 'N Tech with Allan & Chad
I recently had the pleasure to be a guest on the "Teaching 'N Tech with Allan & Chad" podcast. I had a wonderful time chatting with Allan and Chris about three of my favorite AI tools for schools, as well as ideas for embracing technology in the classroom, even for teachers who are unsure.
You can listen to the episode, access the resources that I shared in the episode, and explore more about the podcast at the link above.
