Each week I keep an eye out for the latest edtech resources through blogs, social media, podcasts, videos, user groups, and more. I then try to reshare these resources in many ways.
One way I share these is here on the blog in these "EdTech Links of the Week" posts. See below to explore the latest batch of resources, and be sure to share with others who may benefit.
If you want to make sure you don't miss new resources, you can:

This week I have 4 resources from around the Internet and 4 resources from my blog.
๐คฟ Snorkl
Snorkl is another one of my favorite AI tools for education which I have shared before in a blog post and a short demo video. See below for more details on this tool!
Snorkl uses AI to provide students with instant, personalized feedback on their thinking and problem-solving. Students can record their thought processes on a digital whiteboard and receive targeted feedback that aligns directly with teacher learning goals. Why I love Snorkl:
- Rich Authentic Assessment: Snorkl lets students draw, type, and record audio to capture their thinking and learning.
- Instant Insights for Teachers: Get real-time qualitative insights on student learning and trending errors.
- Multilingual Support: Snorkl supports student input and provides feedback in over 50 languages, supporting new-to-country student and fostering oral language development.
Create a free account at Snorkl or join Snorkl's school and district pilot program for unlimited access throughout the year!

๐งน Tidy Text
- ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and other AI chatbots are certainly awesome, but they also have one particularly frustrating issue.
- When you copy the amazing content they create, and then paste that copied content into a Google Doc, it often comes out looking strange with much of the formatting messed up.
- That's where Tidy Text comes to save the day!
- This is a completely free web-based tool with no sign-up, no personal info needed.
- Simply copy the content from ChatGPT (or whatever AI chatbot) and paste it into Tidy Text.
- Then click the "Tidy" button to clean it up.
- Finally click the "Copy" button to copy the cleaned up version and paste that into your Google Doc.
- Tidy Text properly formats headings, bullet points, tables, math, and more!
- Dyslexico is a free tool made by Dyslexics for Dyslexics.
- It is an AI-powered spelling and grammar accessibility tool designed specifically for dyslexia, catching errors that are often missed by existing tools not designed for Dyslexic users.
- Dyslexico also includes state of the art speech to text and text to speech to support communication.
- Dyslexico can be accessed through the website or by installing the Dyslexico Chrome extension.
- Using either option, users can paste their writing into the tool to get helpful feedback and suggestions.

๐ค Flippity Group Game
Flippity has long been one of my favorite tools to show to teachers. In short, it is a free tool that lets you easily create activities such as word searches, crossword puzzles, bingo games, flashcards, Jeopardy games, and more. You can see my earlier blog post with details on how the tool works.
Another great thing about Flippity is how often new activities get added to the site. As of the time of this writing there are 30 activities you can create. I was excited to see that recently they added another new one they are calling the "Flippity Group Game".
Basically it is a version of the "Connections" game from the New York Times. You simply add four sets of four words and the themes that connect each set, and Flippity generates a playable game for students. You can work in subject matter content for a fun way to review class content.
Feel free to check out my sample puzzle with a bit of a Google theme.

๐ Creating Soundboards with Google Slides for Stories, Games and More
I recently posted a new 21 minute video on making custom soundboards in Google Slides for:
- ๐จ Games & quizzes
- ⏳ Class transitions
- ๐ Story read-alouds
- ๐️ Live podcasts, videos & more!
You can see the tutorial video, help guide, detailed directions, sample soundboards, and more at the link above. I would love to see what others create!

Last month I was honored to be on the panel for a "Back-To-School AI Webinar" hosted by Dan Fitzpatrick. For my portion of the webinar I shared about Brisk Teaching and how educators can use it to easily:
- Create content such as a quiz, lesson plan, slideshow, etc.
- Generate feedback on student writing
- Change reading level and language of articles and documents
- Monitor student writing process

See the link above to watch the recording of the webinar. I hope you pick up some great ideas!

๐ซ AI Summit for School Leaders
OASSA (Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators) is hosting an AI Summit for School Leaders on October 31st and November 1st in Columbus, Ohio. I am excited to be providing the training at this event. In this summit we will be covering the "ABC's of AI" for school leaders as we explore:
- A) About AI (what AI tools are currently available and how they work)
- B) Benefits of AI (practical and powerful ways to use AI for teaching and learning) and
