EdTech Links of the Week - 4-17-23

Each week I keep an eye out for the latest edtech resources through blogs, social media, podcasts, videos, user groups, and more. I then try to reshare these resources in many ways.

๐Ÿ’ฒ Tax Simulations

  • Free interactive simulations to teach high school students about taxes.
  • Provided by EVERFI and TurboTax.
  • Activities include Filing Your Taxes, Tax Credits for Families, Taxes for Gig Workers, Taxes for Students, Taxes for Investments and Cryptocurrency.
  • Each simulation is 10 to 20 minutes long.
  • If you want to track completion of these modules (and more) you can assign the "EVERFI: Financial Literacy for High School" course through a free EVERFI account at

๐Ÿงช OLogy

  • Free kids science website from the American Museum of Natural History.
  • Resources include online games, reading passages, hands-on activities, and educational videos.
  • 14 branches of science are covered including topics such as biodiversity, brain, genetics, marine biology, microbiology, paleontology, zoology, anthropology, archaeology, astronomy, climate change, earth, physics, and water.

๐Ÿ“ Visnos Interactive Math

  • Free interactive math activities covering topics including addition and subtraction facts, angles, measurement using a protractor, telling the time, multiplication and division, and more.
  • Many of the activities are open-ended and can be used with multiple grade levels.
