I am excited and honored to once again be presenting at the 2025 NCTIES Conference in Raleigh, North Carolina on March 5th through 7th.

How can you craft better prompts to get the best results? In this session we will explore examples of excellent prompts, models for building better prompts, using a "super prompt" to create prompts, using the "collaborative prompt" technique, activities to practice prompting, and more

  • Description: AI is constantly evolving with new tools and features every week. What are the best tools for schools to use? In this session we will do a deep dive in my current list of favorite AI tools for educators and students. We will try out the tools hands-on and see how they can impact all aspects of education. Sample tools may include ChatGPT, Gemini, MagicSchool AI, Khanmigo, TeacherServer, SchoolAI, EnlightenAI, Snorkl, Diffit, Class Companion, NotebookLM, Brisk Teaching, Ideogram, Udio and more.

  • Description: As beneficial as AI is, it also comes with challenges and the potential for misuse. In this session we will explore ways to address academic integrity concerns, tools and strategies to help monitor AI use, proper citation for AI generated content, ways to encourage positive use of AI in the classrooms, developing your own class set of AI guidelines for students, alternative assessment options, addressing AI bias and inaccuracies, student data privacy, identifying fake content, evaluating AI tools, and more.

In this session we will explore a wide range of Google tools that incorporate generative AI including Google Gemini, NotebookLM, Search Generative Experience, integrations in Docs, Slides, Sheets, Gmail, Search, Classroom and more! See how these tools can be used by teachers and students.

  • Description: Web extensions provide extra features, tools, and options for the Chrome browser. Learn how to find, install, and use extensions from the Chrome Web Store, and then explore over 150 recommendations. Hands-on demonstrations will be done for selected extensions, from tried and true tools to my newest discoveries.
