Each week I keep an eye out for the latest edtech resources through blogs, social media, podcasts, videos, user groups, and more. I then try to reshare these resources in many ways.
One way I share these is here on the blog in these "EdTech Links of the Week" posts. See below to explore the latest batch of resources, and be sure to share with others who may benefit.
If you want to make sure you don't miss new resources, you can:

This week I have 4 resources from around the Internet and 3 resources from my blog.
🎙️ Podcast Spotlight: Innovator Insights
I recently had the pleasure to be a guest on the "Innovator Insights" podcast from GAT Labs. I had a wonderful time chatting about:
- 🧭 My EdTech journey
- 🔥 How necessity breeds innovation
- 🎯 My EdTech philosophy
- 🤖 AI's role in education
- 📰 Staying ahead in EdTech
- 💡 My advice for new innovators
You can listen to the episode, access the resources that I shared in the episode, and explore more about the podcast at the link above.
📰 What's New in Google - February 2025
For an easy way to catch up on everything new in Google for Education from the last month, check out the recorded video, detailed agenda, and all the links from the GEG-Ohio February 2025 Meeting. As usual we shared lots of news, updates, helpful ideas and resources for schools. What is your favorite update?
I am excited to be heading to the 2025 NCTIES Conference in Raleigh, North Carolina this week! If you will be there, I hope to get to connect and chat. Either way, you can get all the details and resources for my sessions at bit.ly/curts-ncties25 or at the link above.
➕ VoyageMath
- VoyageMath is from the team who make Quizizz, and is focused on middle school math.
- This is a standards-aligned math practice platform with a library of questions that have been created and vetted by experts.
- You just pick a skill, then assign it to your class, and get data in real time.
- Students answer questions based on their current skill level, and if they get stuck, a built-in StepGuide will lead them to the solution one step at a time.
- The free version supports up to 200 active student assignments, the entire skills library, the StepGuide, reports and insights, and more.

✍️ Scrible
- I recently have had multiple people suggest Scrible to me as a tool they recommend. I haven't had a chance to explore it much yet, but so far I am impressed by what I have seen.
- Scrible has a robust free version (and of course a paid version with even more features).
- The tool is designed to help students with four main components of the writing process: curating resources, annotating information, citing sources, and writing their content.
- This is done with the Scrible extension and the Scrible add-on in Docs.
- I am excited to dig in more, but in the meantime would love to hear from anyone who has been using Scrible.

🖍️ Flippity Color By Number
Flippity has long been one of my favorite tools to show to teachers. In short, it is a free tool that lets you easily create activities such as word searches, crossword puzzles, bingo games, flashcards, Jeopardy games, and more. You can see my earlier blog post with details on how the tool works.
Another great thing about Flippity is how often new activities get added to the site. As of the time of this writing there are 31 activities you can create. Well I was excited to see that recently they added a new one they are calling "Color By Number".
Basically it is a multiple choice review game where colors fill into a pixel art image as you answer the questions. If you answer the questions correctly, the colors will be correct and will reveal the complete image when done.
You can get all the directions and a copy of the template on the Flippity site, and you can test it out by playing a States Capitals game I made using the tool.

▶️ ClickView

- Discover videos: Access thousands of ad-free, vetted, standards-aligned videos.
