EdTech Links of the Week - 11-28-22

Each week I keep an eye out for the latest edtech resources through blogs, social media, podcasts, videos, user groups, and more. I then try to reshare these resources in many ways.

One way I share these is here on the blog in these "EdTech Links of the Week" posts. See below to explore the latest batch of resources, and be sure to share with others who may benefit.

If you want to make sure you don't miss new resources, you can:

And as always, please let me know of any resources that you recommend. I would love to learn from you!

This week I have 5 new resources from around the Internet and 2 new resources from my blog.

▶️ Recorded Video

You can watch the recorded live stream where I demonstrate the resources and go into more detail on each one.

Or you can watch the video on YouTube where I have added time stamps in the description so you can jump directly to the spots in the video where I talk about each link:

Future live streams will usually be on Monday evenings at 7pm EST. The next schedule live stream in Monday, December 5, 2022 at 7pm EST. You can always get the exact time, as well as links to the live streams for YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn at:

And new resources from "Control Alt Achieve"...

🖼️ Illustrating Stories with Canva's AI Text to Image Tool

  • Canva has a new "Text to Image" tool that students can use to illustrate the stories and poems they write. The tool uses artificial intelligence to generate custom images for any text prompt you give it.
  • Students can use this to illustrate the things they have written, allowing them to create a media-rich version of their stories, poems, or other writings, which they can then share with others.
  • Or students could take ideas they have, use Canva's AI to generate images, and then get inspired by the unique pictures to guide their own writing.
  • Check out my blog post for a sample AI-illustrated poem, as well as a 9-minute tutorial video, and detailed written directions.
  • I would love to hear what you think about this new tool and how it can be used in schools.

❄️ The 12 Days of Chrome-mas 2022

  • I will be doing this in a series of blog posts throughout the month of December that I am calling "The 12 Days of Chrome-Mas".
  • Each blog post will provide a tip or trick or lesser known feature or helpful idea related to Google's Chrome web browser.
  • You can follow along with all the resources at bit.ly/chromemas22
