EdTech Links - Week of 9-15-2025

Each week I keep an eye out for the latest edtech resources through blogs, social media, podcasts, videos, user groups, and more. I then try to reshare these resources in many ways.

One way I share these is here on the blog in these "EdTech Links of the Week" posts. See below to explore the latest batch of resources, and be sure to share with others who may benefit.

If you want to make sure you don't miss new resources, you can:

🎓 Google's AI Literacy Hub

I am always on the lookout for free resources to help educate folks about AI. Well Google recently launched their new AI Literacy Hub as a one stop shop for resources to help educators, students, and families learn about AI and how it can be used responsibly and effectively.

⏳ Export Chrome History

Recently I received a request from one of our schools asking for an easy way to export the browsing history from a student's Chromebook. There are certainly lots of tools and options for this, but I came across a free Chrome extension called "Export Chrome History" that did the trick.
  • Simply install the extension as normal.
  • Then click on the extension and choose how far back you want to go including a day, a week, a month, or forever (which is actually only 3 months due to Chrome's history limit).
  • Then just click "Download as CSV" to export the history.
  • You can now upload that CSV file to Google Drive and open it in Google Sheets.
  • Since it is a spreadsheet you can easily sort, filter, and search as needed.

🍕 Pizza Hut’s "BOOK IT!" Program

I remember the Pizza Hut "BOOK IT!" program from when my daughter was young. It was a program that rewarded students with free pizza when they read books. My daughter loved to read, and conveniently I loved to eat pizza! I did not realize the program was still around, but was happy to discover that it is and it starts up in October for this new school year. Here are the details on the current version:
  • The program is open for grades PK–6 (ages 4–12) and runs from October 1 through March 31 each year.
  • Teachers can sign up for the program at bookitprogram.com/pre-enroll
  • Teachers can then access the dashboard where they will manage their classes, students, goals, and progress.
  • As students read books and meet their goals, they will receive digital Reading Award Certificates, which are redeemable for a free, one-topping Personal Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut.
