🏫 SchoolAI

schoolai.com

School AI is a free tool that allows your students to have safe, monitored interactions with AI learning activities.

In short, here is how School AI works:
  • As a teacher you set up a free account for yourself.
  • Next you select a premade AI experience or create one of your own.
  • You then share the invite link with the students so they can participate in the AI activity.
  • Note: Students do not sign in or get an account.
  • While the students engage in the activity, you can monitor their interactions.
  • At the end of the activity the AI summarizes the students' interactions so you can identify learning, needs, interests, and more.

Some of the AI experiences include...

Historic Figures
  • Choose from a wide range of historic figures for your students to chat with.
  • Or create your own chatbot with a historical figure of your choice.
  • The chatbot will proactively share interesting facts about the person, while also inviting students to ask their own questions.
  • You have access to all chat sessions, allowing you to monitor student activity.

Book Explorer
  • In this interactive activity, students will dive into the world of the book of your choosing.
  • Or create your own chatbot with a book of your choice.
  • They will use AI to discuss themes of the book, learn about the author, and engage in knowledgeable discussions.

Career Exploration
  • Choose a career you want your students to explore.
  • Or create your own chatbot with a career of your choice.
  • The chatbot will proactively share interesting facts about the career, while also inviting students to ask their own questions.
  • You have access to all chat sessions, allowing you to monitor student activity.

Bell Ringer
  • Welcome students to class by introducing the topic of today’s lesson and inviting them to share how they are feeling.
  • You can instruct the AI to ask a specific question if desired.
  • Student sentiment will be captured and displayed to you.

Exit Ticket
  • Invite students to show what they learned today and how they’re feeling about it.
  • You can instruct the AI to review specific learning outcomes.
  • Student sentiment and confidence will be displayed to you.

Topic Explorer
  • Simply enter the topic you want your students to explore, or choose from one of the many pre-made topic experiences.
  • The chatbot will proactively share interesting facts about the topic, while also inviting students to ask their own questions.
  • You have access to all chat sessions, allowing you to monitor student activity.

Tutoring Session
  • Simply enter a topic to create a chat-based tutoring session for your students.
  • The chatbot will proactively assess what a student needs help with and create an agenda accordingly.
  • You have access to all chat sessions, allowing you to monitor student activity.

Sidekick
  • For a completely custom experience, you can create a Sidekick.
  • Give your students managed access to their very own AI assistant.
  • Students can take advantage of AI’s powerful capabilities to explore various topics, answer questions, quiz themselves, and more.
  • You have full access to all chat sessions, allowing you to monitor student activity.

Launching an AI Experience
  • After you select or create an AI experience, you will have your students join it.
  • School AI will give you a link that you can give to your students to click on.
  • School AI will also generate a QR Code that can simply be scanned to join.
  • When the students join they will type in their name so you know who they are, but they will not be creating an account or actually logging in.

Student Experience
  • Once the student joins the AI experience, they will be able to chat with the AI.
  • The student can type in their responses.
  • Or if it is easier, the student cam click the microphone button to speak their responses.
  • The AI will display its response for the student.
  • If needed the student can click on the "Speak" link to have the AI's response spoken aloud.

Teacher Insights
  • While the students are interacting with the AI, the teacher will be able to monitor their progress.
  • The teacher can click on any student to read their full conversation.
  • The AI will also provide summaries of the highlights and insights from the students' interactions with the AI.
  • When the teacher ends the session, the AI will generate a final summary of insights from the entire class.

Other Tools
  • In addition to the AI experiences for the students, School AI also offers a collection of AI tools to assist the teacher.
  • These include tools to generate lesson plans, course outlines, worksheets, multiple choice quizzes, jokes, IEPs, BIPs, newsletters, word problems, leveled text, and more.
