Join my Gemini for Schools Online Course

Google Gemini is easily one of my favorite AI tools for education. It has a robust free version with a wide range of powerful features, can be used with any age level, and comes with free data privacy protection for schools.

I use Gemini every day in my own work, and provide PD sessions on it all the time.

I am excited to be offering a 4-week online course on Gemini for schools starting this September. This is in partnership with EdTechTeacher and their collection of eight courses they are offering this Fall.

📋 General Information

• Each cohort is capped at 30 participants, led by a subject-matter expert with real classroom experience, and focused on a single AI-in-education topic.
• One 60-minute live session per week, 30 minutes of office hours, and a dedicated async channel keep the learning going between sessions.
• Participants earn 4 PD hours and a certificate of completion, with a 5th hour available through a performance task.

Discover Google’s powerful, free generative AI tool and how it can assist educators and students. In this course we will do a hands-on deep dive in Gemini including prompting, educational uses, fact checking, deep research, guided learning, the canvas tool (for slideshows, coding, and more), custom Gems, Gemini apps, image and audio generation, Gemini tools (in Classroom, Gemini Notebook, and other Google tools), data privacy features, and more.
