EdTech Links of the Week - 1-9-23

Each week I keep an eye out for the latest edtech resources through blogs, social media, podcasts, videos, user groups, and more. I then try to reshare these resources in many ways.

🏆 KeepTheScore

  • Online tool to track points for activities, competitions, goals, teams, sports, and more.
  • Create a class leaderboard, click counter, scoreboard with rounds, or live scoreboard.
  • Lots of themes to choose from.
  • Instant Leaderboards can be created by pasting data from a Google Sheet.
  • Free version for up to 50 players, unlimited boards, CSV download.

🎞️ Teachflix

  • Collection of vetted educational videos for use with your students.
  • Browse through categories including math, music and art, science, history, English language arts, physical education, read alouds, computer science, SEL, world language, virtual field trips, digital citizenship, and more.
  • Submit videos through the form to help the collection grow.

❓ 4=10

  • 4=10 is a casual number puzzle game for iOS and Android that is totally free and with no ads.
  • The goal is to create an expression with 4 given numbers equal to 10. For example 1+2+3+4=10
  • The game uses only basic math and starts off easy, gradually becoming more difficult.
  • Great way for students to practice their math skills.

🛠️ WordsTool

  • Free online tool to create and share vocabulary exercises with students.
  • Create word cards with definitions, images, pronunciation, example sentences, translations, synonyms, and antonyms.
  • Organize word cards into sets and folders.
  • Practice words with five types of exercises including dictation, matching, anagrams, multiple choice, and word fill.
  • Create custom tasks from words cards and exercises.
  • Track students' progress.
