EdTech Cool Tool - Padlet AI Images

This post is Day 3 of my "Cool Tools 2023" series where we are exploring some of the year's best tools for teaching and learning.

This year we are focusing on artificial intelligence tools and how they can be used in schools.
You can access all of the cool tools in the series as they come out at and in this Google Slideshow.

For this entry in the series we are taking a look at: Padlet AI Image Generator

See below for details, directions, uses, and links for this artificial intelligence resource. If you have used this tool, please consider sharing your experiences, how you have used it, tips, tricks, and more.

🖌️ Padlet AI Image Generator

Padlet provides a free AI-powered text-to-image generator. This can be an excellent way to:
  • Generate images for content you are creating (slideshows, documents, websites, etc.)
  • Generate images to serve as writing prompts or story starters for students.
  • Generate images to illustrate student writing, stories, poems, etc.

To generate images in Padlet:
  • Sign up for a free Padlet account if you don't have one already.
  • Open up a new or existing Padlet file.
  • Click the plus button "+" to add new content.
  • Then click the 3-dots button for "More attachment types".
  • Choose "I Can't Draw".

  • Type in the prompt for what you want the AI to draw.
  • The AI will create 6 sample images.

  • Add any images to your Padlet.
  • Later on you can download the images or copy and paste the images as needed to use any way you wish in other tools, docs, presentations, and more.

💰 Pricing

Padlet offers a free plan that includes:
  • 3 padlets
  • 20MB per upload
  • 1 user
Note: A single Padlet file can be used over and over again for the purpose of generating and downloading the AI-generated images.

There are paid plans that offer additional features, which can be seen here -
