EdTech Cool Tool - Conker

This post is Day 19 of my "Cool Tools 2023" series where we are exploring some of the year's best tools for teaching and learning.

This year we are focusing on artificial intelligence tools and how they can be used in schools.

You can access all of the cool tools in the series as they come out at bit.ly/cool-tools-23 and in this Google Slideshow.

For this entry in the series we are taking a look at: Conker

See below for details, directions, uses, and links for this artificial intelligence resource. If you have used this tool, please consider sharing your experiences, how you have used it, tips, tricks, and more.

⚡ Conker

Conker is a tool from the makers of Mote, which uses AI to generate quizzes.
  • The quiz can come from any topic, and can also include source material.
  • Questions can include Multiple Choice, Mixed, Read & Respond, or Fill-in-the-Blank
  • Quizzes can be taken right inside of Conker or can be exported to Google Forms.

Here is how Conker works...

Enter Topic
  • Begin by typing in a topic for your quiz, then click "Next".

Next you will customize the options for the quiz. These will include:
  • Question type - Multiple Choice, Mixed, Read & Respond, or Fill-in-the-Blank
  • Number of questions - From 5 to 20
  • Grade level - From Kindergarten to Higher Education
  • Language output - Choose the language for the quiz
Include reading material
  • You can also include a reading passage to go along with the quiz.
  • This content will be used to generate the questions for the quiz.
  • If you do not include a reading passage then the quiz questions will be generated based on the topic you chose.

When finished, click the "Generate" button to create the quiz based on your settings.

If needed, you can edit any of the questions including options to:
  • Edit the question
  • Edit the answers
  • Edit the feedback
  • Double-check the answer with a Google Search
  • Re-order the questions
  • Re-order the answers
  • Delete the question

Share Quiz

When you are happy with the quiz, you can now share it with your students to complete.
  • Click the "Share" button in the top right corner.
• This will open a pop-up window with sharing options.
  • You can click "Copy link" to give students a link to the Conker version of the quiz.
  • Or you can click "Forms" to generate a Google Forms version of the quiz for the students to complete.
